Zoot is a brainchild of mine in my attempt to draw myself back to my childhood love of cartooning and at the same time injecting more humor and art into the pool of text which is my blog. Zoot is a cross between a fox (Vulpes vulpes) and wolf (Canis lupus) though people do say that he represents a Dingo (Canis lupus dingo) at times.

He regularly appears on my blog and has a dedicated area on the site which serves as an impromptu web comic in both single or multi frame illustration formats. Despite his stereotypical college looks, he is often a comical over-representation (note the 'over') of activities a college student can actually or will do. I won't exactly say that Zoot is an extension of me and vice versa, after all he has a personality of his own.

Zoot is primary a digitally drawn character, though I do stick with traditional media when travelling or do not have opportunity to sink my butt in front of my workstation to get him drawn. I only do coloring for special strips or when the occasion calls for it. For now he appears mainly in black and white line art which are often quick lines drawn and published I get between my time in university.
