19th to 24th December 2006
with spectacular scenery
With a free dialysis center
while the rest of us went about sweeping, wiping and mopping the premises
where we had karaoke and some partying with the elders
where we had a overnight fellowship BBQ!
where the children have to guess & answers posed to them in english
We were brought around the orphanage farms with vegatable farms, pigs and rabbits!
we play largely knowledge based english games like trival (wheel of fortune) & hangman
we had a rewarding meal at the end of the long day...
we couldn't stop taking pictures here...
we celebrated Ann's early birthday with an opening by the rotary president
Visit to the local wet market
up to Brastagi Highlands!
They work, farm for a living and to keep the orphanage operations alive
theres horses, not to mention loads of natural landmines everywhere
There, we tried the local steam/roasted corn delicacy
There we get to interact with the orphans/single parent (all very low income)
There Dr wilson gave us a tour and practises the hospital has in treating and handling mental patients.

The patients are all locked up in long houses, while the ones deemed normal are allowed to roam the area

the light rain didn't drench our BBQ one bit
The kids are a happy bunch
The day followed by a visit to the brastagi market
The center also has a free clinic with a healthy strength of doctors
Thats for the primary kids!
