Presentations
These days there is no denying that the new benchmark in the delivery of the presentation messages is with the aid of multimedia. It allows a presenter to fully bring forward a product, let be a story of intent with a breathtaking and professional manner with the minimal loss of accuracy. That is why multimedia and 3D animation is important in any industry today, let be effectively showcasing an engineering ideology or a buisness concept in full detail, there are no limits.

Showcased here are various multimedia animations I've created for few of my product design presentations. Do note that in optimisation of web streaming videos hosted on Youtube, the quality of the video shown is very much lower than that of the actual videos.

Thermal Cast Graphical Presentation
thermal cast fire protection systems
This product presentation is done for the Thermal Cast fire protection systems (Thermal-Limitec). They deal with fire and heat resistant panels which are installed on off shore platforms and rigs as a passive safety measure. This promotion video is made to elaborate more on the product as well as it's installation videos all in 3D and fly-throughs. The most interesting fact about this video is that it was created from scratch and very little material, rendered and edited over a period of only 4 days, a feat by itself.

Radical Motion Simulator Multimedia
universal gaming motion simulator
The multimedia video showing the various tech rundown and features of the Radical Motion Simulator shown and showcased during the SP Open house and Spinnovex 2008 exhibition. It is built by 3 mechanical engineering students in the creativity innovation enterprise (CIE) option over a span of 14 weeks in Singapore Polytechnic as part of their final year project. The project won the highest possible gold award for the exhibition. You can view the actual simulator in motion shot on Youtube here.

UniStrategic Jobsfair
job and career fair at suntec city
This graphical video was created for Unistrategic Ptd Ltd as part of their promotional tools during the 2007 Jobscentral jobs fair held in Suntec City convention center. Very little resources and footage were provided in creation of the video given the urgent need and short time line frame to create the video (4 days). Despite all that, a professional corporate video was created without sacrificing quality and message intent. This is done through the clever use of photos and static images. Applicant response at the jobs fair was overwhelming.

Cappobrewis Automated Breakfast Machine
not just a toaster and coffee maker
A product innovated as part of my product design module. This product is an all in one breakfast machine allowing you to automatically prepare toast and hot beverages dispensed from it's integrated hoppers at preset times or calendar events saved in it's configurable memory, this means breakfast ready for you in the morning when you wake up without any intervention at all. The name "Cappo" from cappuccino and "Brewis" from the French words meaning "bread soaked in hot beverage". Featured in the product is a smooth metallic aluminum finish with userability, accessibility and functionality rolled into one small footprint.

Integrated Digital Entertainment System (iDES)
all in one intergrated digital solution
The iDES is an integrated all in one entertainment device, it is both a 4:3/Widescreen LCD TV with TV tuner, game console, web-camera, media reader and DVD player built into one, the iDES is a clever integration of consumer technology we see today fused into one small combined package, minus the hassles and wires. Able to function independently without an attached personal computer, the whole device is controlled with a universal Bluetooth remote which does not require a line of sight to operate. Front access ports allows dated wired peripherals to be connected as well. All the various functions are shown in this multimedia animated video.

Counter-Strike the Game Video
Go go go! move out!
This was one of the few personal productions I've done with a group of friends of mine. Using alittle bit of off the shelf "industrial light and magic". This clip is shot with life actors, computer generated renderings and blue screen footage. This video is essentially a planned short hostage rescue clip showing how will it will be like in the world of Counter-strike, after all this was created for the love of the game, being an avid Counter-strike player since it's beta stages and yes, it couldn't get any more real, particularly with the same real bugs with the hostages.
