Fuel shack is a cheery burger joint located in the busy Bukit Bintang district in Kuala Lumpur (KL), Malaysia. They serve a variety of soul food and western style burgers. Lets check them out with a lunchtime dine-in today.
The restaurant is located on the outer ground floor of Plaza Low Yat. The mall is one of KL’s premier IT and hardware malls. It is synonymous to Funan and Sim Lim IT malls in Singapore.
Furthermore, the restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Its setting tad reminds me of the setting we see in Fat Boy’s Singapore. It has a rather punk style colour scheme complete with a bar and long table seating. Notably the bar does serve alcohol, which is interesting for an establishment in a Muslim country.
For starters, their cheesy toast bread is pretty good. You have a choice of meaty cheese and tomato breaded garlic bread served on a hot plate. They are a great appetizer before your main courses.
Great burgers
The main food served here are burgers, craft burgers to be exact. Recommended items includes their double stacked beef burgers. They are served on lightly toasted buns and packed with melted sliced cheese and a fried egg.
It is topped up with fresh lettuce and tomatoes and a dash of straight fries as a side. In addition to their burgers are several main courses which also double up as sharing platters. This is especially if you are in a group or dining with friends.
Asian fusion dishes
If western flair is not up to your liking. The restaurant and bar also have from the kitchen local favorite dishes. This includes Mee Goreng, but in a rather interesting westernized flare. It is tad like a Malaysian meet west fusion dish. Do check out their menu for more of such dishes if you were to pay them a visit.
All in all, Fuel Shack Signature Burger & Beer Bar is a great way to chill out for lunch after a day of shopping at Bukit Bintang. It is one of the few affordable and value for money eateries in the area. Worthy of a visit and chill.
