Oakleys are in!

A call came from a rather excited John (aka yohn) early this week telling me that the "remaining" oakleys we've ordered are in already from shipment. Finally! so as I thought. We actually intended to drop by yesterday, but Lt Jason, our "sales rep cum oakley order slave" was on leave, so it was called off. We were crazy...

Saturday Morning

The week saw myself confirming the DVD production with Marcus, our ATW officer with microworks @ $1155. Me wonders will I get charity bonuses to cover my production prices, costing $350. But nah don't think so, as the DVD is made for my company out of my goodwill. I think the best they can do is pay me the...

Those were the Army days (& Compiled achievement list!)

I've always wanted to type in a entry closing my period served in the army with a concluding post of my time there. Finally found the time to get this done. Overall, alot of people always enter the army feeling down of tough times ahead & so. But personally, the army is actually not as bad as it is thought...

ORD Loh!

And there I was, driving off to camp after school, drivin' off to camp after school - one last time! Whee, can't believe the day had finally arrived when I get to officially be out of the army. Haha bye bye guys, bye Sungei Gudong camp, bye armour, for now... Mmm cos once armour always armour? ATW, you all...

Maddash! ahhaha!

Today is just supposed to be a simple day- a short SPICE lesson at SP from 1.30pm to 4.30pm, thats all. Sold off my today's WOS duty, so theres no reason to be in camp today, despite NOT being on leave (though I intend to use my off today). But it turned out to a day unlike any other......

Light in ARR

Training was at Keat Hong camp on Tuesday, the officier team was training there too & our teammate PTI Richard got us up for a friendly competitive run against them. It would be about 10+teams of 5 people each for the mock 1.44km route relay. The officers started stunningly fast at the start, putting their fastest runner's first, very...

Mid april crises? or is it?

Worked myself silly a the gym on Monday. Gassed myself with Tear Gas at the PLC gas camber on Tuesday. Went on a Bell UH-1 live helicopter joyride on Wednesday with an LTC & CPT as my pilots. Oh well, its just another week of training. I saw physical training from monday to friday too, in other words.. EVERYDAY......

Mad-ercise

The list of selected partipants for ARR (Armour route relay) are out, & errr I am inside? Wondered how did they go about the selection & stuffs. I didn't get IPPT gold, neither I am that fantastic at running, but the thing is that am I really up to it? 🙄 So I since I am in the team now,...

Ants in pants (literally!)

Its time again where area cleaning is done around the bunk at camp. Well partly because our OC gonna conduct a stand-by area on monday afternoon, so the COY very much went amock in soaking (literally) the whole building & flushing it cleanly of it inpurities. Come to think about it I think its easier if we can just...

ARR training= free breakfast for EVERYONE?

Theres the usual morning ARR training today conducted by inkchik for all the specialists, but the only thing is that late comers reporting after 7.30am have a price to pay- treat everybody for breakfast after training. & yea, I was late, so was 4 others who joined together into chipping money (it turned out to be $7 bucks each...

🙄 The day started with IPPT trail tests in the morning where my John & great moronness more or less gone for some rugby training. The week in plain text, & pictures!

🙂 Haiz, the last 5 days are very much spent learning a new weapon, the Carl 84mm Recoilless rifle Medium Anti Tank weapon. Its like 16kg, not one of the heaviest, but one which weigh really pushes people around quite easily. It was like ow & eve when we saw a 42 coy doing a route march round the...

Whirr & Polish!

😈 Managed to get out of camp this morning for a dental check-up & cleaning/polishing at Kranji camp. The place is really isolated. Made my way there from Yew Tee MRT station after orientating myself to the ground & heading towards the nearest patch of vegetation I see, from the station! Typical of an army camp. Now didn't they...

Driving freedom

😎 Drove into camp last sunday as mum & dad were overseas for a vaction, so that very much leaves the car for me to use. Having a car very much added to speed & convience for me, considering its the first time dad actually allowed me to drive on my own around. Driving alone have its thrills, not...

CPR certified!

âž¡ Yesterday.. was a typical day where I could wake up get dressed in SBO & make my way to the SOC to cover safety in the morning for the platoon without consciously knowing it, just like sleepwalking or just say on "auto mode" where no brain power is needed to execute anything at all... even before my coffee...

During the week we were taught hot to arrest a hamorrhage, treat fractures & wounds, tie bandages & tourniquets. The highlight of the course was of the the...

Refreshing nausea

 Watched the first episode of the Dilbert DVD series this morning while having breakfast.. dang I should stop tempting myself to eat in front of the computer, with the exception of bread crumbs & tea stains all round the keyboard. I won't be amused if my desk is the worst bacteria hot zone in my home. Felt slightly...

Whoa, what a day (long post ahead!)

Friday & sat in glorious truetype text... long but otherwise, quite a good read. Friday Last night was life firing day, it very much needed us to go through bashing through muddy treks & crossing rivers to assault an objective, AI dismounted style for times in all (day blank & life, night blank & life). Us specialists chonggen, janan, tanyi,...
