Engaging our Pioneers
Pioneer generation members from the Thye Hua Kwan senior activity centres in the immediate neighbourhood were engaged through mobile games like Fruit Ninja. When played with the elders, promotes hand-eye coordination that not only keeps the mind active, but also has been used in therapy to help stroke patients in their recovery. The games were well received by 50 Pioneers from the senior activity centres with youth volunteers at the event, who never seem to get enough of playing and showcasing their high scores at the event.
Singapore-centric games and apps
In addition, students from ITE have also created special games, which will also make their debut at the Festival. 5 uniquely Singaporean mobile games were showcased as part of Singapore’s 50th birthday (SG50) celebrations. These Apps officially launched at event (Building the Lion, KAN-CHEONG!
