Buffalo Wild Wings is a restaurant serving American style spicy hot chicken wings. The establishment am going to check out today is located in the Planet Hollywood building in the city of Las Vegas, Nevada. Let’s get our taste buds burning with a dine in today!
Our quest for spicy chicken
The thing to go for here are their drumlets. While that is a no-brainer the tough part comes in deciding on the huge range of sauces the restaurant has to go with your chicken.
Moreover, you can have your buffalo wings in two variants, namely traditional chicken drumlets or boneless. The boneless variants are tad like breaded fried chicken finger tenders. The traditional in-bone drumlets are as authentic as you can get to their award-winning and authentic buffalo New York style wings. Also, on the other spectrum, their boneless wings are made of tender all-white chicken which are lightly breaded and cooked to a golden crisp.
Your chicken is available in 4 quantities. You start off with snack size with 5 pieces or chicken. You got to be kidding having such a small quantity here. Next up is small with 9 pieces, followed by medium (14 pieces), and topping up with the large size with 18 pieces.
Additionally, the large platters are great for sharing in groups. Each servings of wings or drumlets comes with two servings of sauces of your choice. Also, the chicken are tender and juicy. The in-bone variant nicely marinated with soft skin and juicy interior which separates easily from the bone.
Sauces galore
Yes, did I mention sauces? Yes, you get 17 different flavours of sauces to go with your chicken. The sauces have varying spiciness. Your ordering menu has a spicy scale meter which you can choose your sauces based on your spice comfort levels. There are Chicken seasoning desert heat, standard Buffalo Wild, chipotle BBQ, lemon pepper or plain ol’ savoury salt and vinegar.
The spiciest sauce available is the Blazin’. You will get a warning from your server on your choice when you order the sauce. I guess the Asian in me is tad immune to spicy sauces. Even the spiciest sauce hardly broke a sweat in my group, though the spiciness does build up as you chug down more wings.
On the other end of the spectrum, the tamest of the bunch includes Teriyaki and Sweet BBQ flavors. Also, mid-range spiciness includes Caribbean Jerk, Asian Zing and Buffalo medium. Savoury tangy options includes the Mango Habanero.
Furthermore, after trying a good 6 to 7 different sauces, I found them largely tasting as permutations of BBQ-based sauces with different infused flavours. Also, to top up your chicken as a meal, your meats are also accompanied by servings of celery, carrots, cheese or ranch dressing.
Great with beers
Notably, you are good with servings of the drumlets small sides and a beer. Also, notably, the restaurant is also an American pub and sports bar by night. It is decked with array of TV screens showing favourite American sports, such as baseball and American football. Henceforth, Buffalo is also a good place to grab a cold refreshing beer on a hot sunny day typical of Las Vegas weather.
All in all, Buffalo Wild Wings serves a is a great place for a mid-day snack of fried chicken. Coupled with a beer, it is a great way to spend your chill day out in here.
Verdict:
Must Go! | Actually pretty Good | Worth Trying | Shortlist Optionally | Should Avoid
