Shake Shack is an American burger and shake joint known for their quality burgers and contemporary restaurants. They are quite a brand in the United States, and is fairly popular in states such as Newyork city. Let’s check out their branch here in Las Vegas with a dine-in.
Notably, the establishment is pretty much a global franchise now, expanding beyond the shores of USA. You might remember Shake Shack when we visited their very first outlet in Singapore at the Changi Jewel.
Moreover, the outlet here is located on the ground floor of the New York New York Hotel and casino in the facade facing the Las Vegas strip. This is one of the many Shake Shacks in Las Vegas. Interestingly, I remembered seeing a couple of branches at the Vegas north outlet malls.
A familiar menu
The menu selections are simple. Staples includes the standard Shack burger, Smokeshack, Shroom (mushroom) burger and your all-American cheese or hamburger.
All menu items listed are plastered on a large board overlooking the entry queue area. Thereafter, you make your order and pay at the counter, where you be given a buzzer to notify you when your order is ready. Collection are at self-help counters by the kitchen.
Additionally, there is plenty of seating here. The outlet offers a combination of outdoor and indoor seating, with the bulk and preferential seating begin indoors. It is great for groups with a mix of sit down tables and bar high tables for a quick meal.
And a familiar taste
If you had been to the Changi Jewel Shake Shack branch, it is pleasing to report that you do not miss much in terms of offerings and quality than their American cousins.
The burgers here totally reminds me of the double Stack burgers I had at Singapore Changi Jewel just a couple of weeks before. Hence with the experience still fresh in my mind. I am pleased to report that the Singapore Shake Shack is indeed the real deal. It goes to says that quality control across regions is pretty good and you do not actually miss much in terms of the food offers here or abroad.
Additionally, a thing I found interesting is that the burger portions are the same sizes as that offered in Singapore. Not quite the American sized portions I was expecting.
Notably, the burgers do feature premium ingredients. Everything is all neat and tidy here. The lettuce is fresh, green and crispy and the patties well and evenly cooked. Also, the burgers have a degree of “sauce wetness” without making the buns too drenched or drippy with sauce. You can consume them “American style” using your hands using the wrappers without getting your hands dirty.
Your burgers can be paired with their trademarked fries too, which goes best with cheese. They are pretty sizable and great for sharing.
Thick American milkshakes
The milkshakes are thick, and I am talking like milkshake staying in your cup when you hold it sideways thick. Still, with a good straw, it is still largely drinkable. Interestingly, you do not get free refills on milkshakes, rather un-American indeed. You get a choice of three flavors of milkshakes, namely Strawberry, chocolate or plain vanilla.
Moreover, notably, the prices of food are tad higher than your average McDonalds. But offers quality better than a premium offering. You do pay a premium too, considering in the likes of competitors such as In-and-Out just around the corner here on the south end of the Las Vegas strip.
In conclusion, it is pleasant to know that Shake Shack maintains a commendable level of quality assurance for their kitchen offerings across the globe. The good news is that you can have the exact same American experience in Shake Shack New York New York right here in Singapore.
