Passed the highway code test

0

Ok,, so much for the test which I had just took back at the driving center and hey, I’ve passed and so did 40/50 others in my class. It a class 2B test, and I would be taking a class 3 highway code test soon too- since I am still fresh in the topic (And I dun wana study for it again when the time comes… 😀 ). For the bike side, hopefully I would be able to chalk up 7000km travelled by the time I ORD so as I can convert my military class 2B license to a commercial one, together with my commercial class 3 one (car) which hopefully I would be able to get my next year, then… It would be cool, and hey lookie 2 license type cards!

Schwarzenegger: Tomorrow the Hard Work Will Tuesday’s historic election in California may be the first time voters in the state have recalled a sitting governor, but it is not the first time a Republican actor has been elected to solve the state’s problems…

Check out the news for more. We will be seeing him more on the news and less on the big screen now. Infact we won’t be seeing him much in the movies anymore, no more T4?

Off to 5th gear & above

So much for highway codes… & the quayside sign… still find that a rather funny signboard *duh* Its the second day of the bike course, and hey its rev rev the scrambler bike up to 5 gear on the straights… the best part is, the instructors are so freaking on! whee freakin’ fun dudes. Also a small part of the national service photo folder is up, featuring the passing out parade. The photocam will be online only after I get the captions and 70++ more pictures to scan onto the gallery… in the meantime, seeya!

Gallery completion

0

The new art and photo gallery is roughly 60% complete, with mostly lots of photo uploading and captioning to do, should be done by next midweek or so. Also to all my NS friends, I will also be posting up a new anticipated photo album called “NS” very soon, so stay tuned for that!

Oh yea and lookee left, yea the new photocam thingy, that is something I would be working on too. Its offline now, but when its up it will function very much like a photolog (photoblog) with shots coming from my new upcoming handphone. yea!

Blogwise, most of today is actually spent working on the gallery itself. Dropped by for some shopping with my fam after dinner around mustafa center for a pair of Nike Acg sandles, more 3/4 pants and a backpacker’s high backpack for my camp stuff. As deepavali is drawing near, so are the crowds around the area- even more crowded than orchard dudes! Dropped by rivervalley for some roti parta supper and headed home thereafter. Upz tomorrow at 6am, hope I can wake up then, the first lesson of the bike course will start tml, gotta get my helmet ready…

New photo gallery

I have Gallery v1.4 up and running on the apache server, it would be no time before I transfer all the photos from the old gallery to the new one. The new gallery spots mainly stuff for lazy people like me. Just upload and the rest are done giffy by the scripts. Had-ing done with previously on the painstalking manual resizing thumbnails each time I upload an album, so let that not be a deterrence to post pictures up next time.

Friday…

0

And so today would be the last day of my stay at camp, and off to a *supposedly* 9-5 bikecourse at kaki camp. Yea would be training for a class 2B bike military bike license and hey its the SAF who wants us to go for it. So what can I do but get all the practice I needed on my own humble-foot-powered-contraption also known widely as, the bicycle, paried with the seemingly invincible newly issused crash helmet elbow and knee guards oh well, BRING ON TOMORROW’S QUALIFIERS MAN!

Talking bout qualifiers, haha lucky I didn’t throw $$ in soccer lately, as many lost quite alot in this weeks matches :X

Theres one thing I would like to bring up about pricky officers in camp, shit ’em if they wanna play rank around the workplace. If they think they can push their weight around and demand all the heck they want, they are gonna not get much respect from us rather, as they say when u meet suxy officers, (or orificer) greet by saluting the rank, not the person.

*fumbles* oh well I guess I can make full use of the free time during my bike course to study for my class 3 highway code and advanced driving theory test coming up.. in the not to distant future I say, yea its a matter of time too where I would zipping around in the family car.

Lastly, check out this freaking funny videosite, not the best of hollywood ya gettin’ here but hey plain old homemade ones, just like ..mm lemonade?

Gotta get some eyeshut now, wakes at 6am tomorrow dudes, no nice show of red tried eyes and messy hair in the morning, scares kids of their beds…

No time, so much rush.

Didn’t have much time to get this entry up, so I will make this quick.

Got a new Maxell screen filter and a LCD indicator from simlim yesterday. C&C generals is also out retailing at $44.90 (lowest price in SLS) EA games decided to do away with the traditional big box of air thingy, spooting a much more compact and smaller packaging this time. I don’t have much time to complete it either I would have to put the purchase later when I have the time to play and, for the price to drop too. Dinner was good and it was sometime since my fam went to the Metro-Y YMCA coffee house for dinner too. Sunday was spent very much slacking around as usual and casual gaming. So much for that, oh well for now….

The end of this sunday.

0

Its coming to the end of the week… (If ya weeks don’t start on a sunday it is so.) it had been a fun week and letssee.. my horoscope next week tells me to “pay attention and don’t neglect my family”.. Mmmm time to call ’em folks up more times a day… *duh*

Tomorrow will be start of another work day, monday. Oh well, so much for monday blues like what Garfield experience, weekly!

Btw, on fixing the problem with the worms 3D demo, after unzipping the game files just rename the run.cmd file in the root directory to run.bat, execute it to run. Game wise, controlling the worm in a 3D environment does take sometime to get used to, esp after playing 3 generation worms in a 2D environment.

Monday here we come!

Slacker’s sunday

2

Nothing much happened today this sunday, but managed to get my old stinking canoscan FB310 scanner to work with windows XP, after some Bios and driver tweaks, off in a gif. Software incompatitblity? no such thing in my way dude… I dun need to depend so much on my other windows 95 system to scan images. So with that in hand, finished another artpiece and got it up on VCL. CS1.6 is freaking cheap to play online now after the beta stages, maybe I should play more UT and tribes these days… And grrr downloaded the anticipated “october blockbuster”- Team17’s Worms 3D demo but dont seem to be able to get it working, furthermore its an official download. dammit!

JC class outing

0

Didn’t know the outing today is so widely known, with all the SMSes flying around, its sure hard to miss that. But in the end only 6 people went and yea, we met many others while we are out too, mainly NS and old school friends. It was rather enjoyable and we can’t wait for the next meet again.

And so, the day started with a wake up at about 9am. Got my dad to fetch me to Beach road to get some equipment at the army market. Namely a new L-torch, sonic wave mosquito repellant, some buckles just to name a few. And so the house needs a new hall light? Dang! it was my dad idea anyway… and he had to drag me to Sungei road to get some new fluorescent lamps, making me late for my “meet” in the process. “on the way” he said…

So theres Geoffery, Shup (da birthday gal), Zongjie, Julia and her bf for the outing many said they won’t come many didn’t turned up either. Dropped Nooch noodle bar for lunch and kinda like wasted the afternoon there chatting till 5pm+ can’t help it as we had not end in bout 8 months! No time for a movie? well so theres Super funworld arcade at Marina with Nameco’s Time crises 2, 3, Konami’s World of combat and lot of DDR too. Bowled one group round at superbowl “just for fun” you can guess how bad everyone’s scores are.

Its also one trip where the Safra club discount card suddenly made itself indispensable, with discounts mainly flying off mostly at anderson’s icecream stands…. ice cream obsession or deprivation? well… what the heck!

Lastly, what outing is complete without a dropby Suntec City. Super crowded as usual and the place where people always use fountains as performance stages… Had dinner at the fountain terrace’s Slizzer, (aka Ponderosa number 2) and their Ice cream machine is malfunctioning! dang it, luckily for anderson’s… Got a new issue of PC extreme magazine for some in camp entertainment next week. For now…
