Wonders of tidying your room

0

As chaotic as it looks, its time I started tidying my room… again! And heck didn’t know doing so can land you into a flu, not to mention the amount of dust lifted in the process, talking bout sensitive noses… :p
*time passes* And so everything’s much neater now, personally speaking and did get to “unearth” several old stuffs I’ve not seen for sometime, namely old school bios, photos and such, does bring back lots of old memories. Oh well, it would be sometime before I start the next summer-cleaning up too. 😀 *duh*

On national serivce, time really pass very fast in camp and I am already onto the 3rd (of the 10th week) of BSLC in the specialists’ school. Did really get to learn lots of interesting stuffs there, namely handling genade launchers, LAWS, SAWS, mines and signal sets. And man! they are definately more devastating than what you get to experience in computer games *grins*. Would be “choinging” next week, time to get down and dirty again…

Warcraft3 Frozen throne would be out in 2 days time, would be looking forward to that. Games to look forward to these few months:

yipeez!

Creative, not-so-good warehouse sale

0

And yup, so theres the sale going on at Creative technologies headquarters @ jurong. Went there this morning, reached there at opening time (11am) and heck! 300 people are already there queuing. Queued for some one hour plus (can’t believe I actually did that). Sad to say, everything just kinda sold(ed)-out, darnnn.. so more or less, went back empty handed. Good thing the parking’s free though… but the thing which kinda pissed me off there are the customers there- they are super kiasu. And so it goes on, there are those who can’t stop rushing, cutting queues and there are those who just grab everything in sight, buying things as if everything is free, no $$$ is needed without the care for others… typicals?.. oh well, thats life.

Now for some Battlefield 1942…

Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore Buffet Dinner

0

Had dinner at Ritz Carlton Millenia today as part of the birthday celebration for my sister. The service is very good and the staff are very courteous professional and friendly- things you can expect from the 6 star hotel. We were greeted with very friendly staff who led us to our table facing the glass walls overlooking a garden. The table has a full setting laid- something you don’t see often in most hotel restaurants.

The dinner buffet for the evenings was generous helpings of food from their international buffet, complete with an extensive seafood collection comprising of lobster, clams, oyster, mussels. The selection is not only extensive by very fresh too, especially the oysters. There is also an assortment of Japanese food, serving sushi, sashimi, as well as collections of hot cooked food from western and Asian cuisines (just to name a few). Each diner is also served a complimentary glass of red wine.

The pricing per head is $88++ per head, which was great value for the outstanding food quality. This restaurant possibly ranks high up on quality International buffets in the country which I will strongly recommend if cost is not an objection. The restaurant too has a really dim and romantic ambience I say, with soft classical music being played by the mini live orchestra in the quiet background, a very relaxing place and a good place for a peaceful dinner away from the buzzes of the city too. 🙂

Unit Posting

2

Well, would be heading back to SFT (Singapore Ferry Terminal) to get my NS posting which would decide whether I get to sweat out or slack for the next 2 years. Hopefully I could get a 9-5 job in an aircon-ed environment with the DSO (defense science organization). Otherwise, I would like to give command school a try, as I don’t wanna waste the 2 years learning nothing too, why not make the best out of it.

Just dun wanna be a rifleman.. *duh*

Mmmmm, and the dumb NUS is still processing my university application, wonder whats taking so long…

Things.. things.. things too..do..

Family week is coming to an end, hope everybody enjoyed theirs. Cos I did *kinda* enjoyed mine. Yes, I believe not all families are perfect and there are bound to be ups and downs in life, but as all things are like- life just have to carry on and make the best out of it. Hey! thats what family days are for.

Now onto some chores of mine:

  • Father’s Day is around the corner.
  • *Super father’s day present- Check!
  • *Super father’s day card- Check!
  • Sister’s birthday coming in a week’s time.
  • *Super birthday card- Check!
  • *Super birthday present- Darn Outta cash..
  • Grrr. hope mum will help chip in some cash..

Just watched a clip from the show Animatrix regarding the matrix and I guess that really opened up the matrix story from the beginning. But when you come to think about it, present life is indeed seemingly heading into the path of the matrix beginning, just like in the movie- automation, a second class of working robots and the eventual retaliation and conflicts. I won’t be amused if such things become such a reality in the near possible future. And the robots have their side of the story to tell too, they are not completely the bad guys… as obviously portrayed in the movie itself.. Jus wait and see…

Mmm and today’s friday the 13th.. a lucky day! yea!! time to walk under more ladders and break more mirrors…

Hans @ great eastern building

0

Went for dinner at Hans @ great eastern building, partly as it was conveniently located near mum’s workplace and we were really hungry at that time after a long day of work. Also, on a note, I guess Hans had shifted their main bakery operations here from their old Thomspon branch. Think they had decided to “go-public” like breadtalk, good to see more competitors around and hopefully we consumers will benefit with prices wars.. 😀 hehe *grinz*

The place, though spacious and posh looking (the floor area is even bigger than the citibank branch next door) the food standard is still not there yet.. And the pastry prices are definitely outrageous- $1.30 for a bagel? Argh! Still prefer the old tradiitonal Hans kitchen style setting, mostly seen at other branches particularly @ Marina Square.

Walked around the nearby Far East China Square area after dinner and noticed a Marche style resturant called “village” in the basement of the shopping area, quite interesting. Mmm, and how did I get to notice that? well, its mostly Follow-the-Plastic-Advert-Bulls, you won’t miss them in the vicinity! Might consider goind there one day… Well, my sister’s is off for a class BBQ with her friends, would be coming back late. House so quiet now, must appreciate the tranquility. Now *fumble* where are my Linkin Park cds…

~Peace~
