Astro Boy: The Journey through Time exhibit is a funky new exhibition and toy series presented to you by ActionCity BLAXK in Funan Mall. It is tad a nostalgic experience featuring works of Astro Boy (also known as Atom boy) as a collaboration with the legendary Japanese animation studio TEZUKA PRODUCTIONS. The collab offers a unique journey through the iconic world of Astro Boy. For fans of the legendary character and art enthusiasts alike, the exhibit is a visual feast.
We are no stranger to the Blaxk exhibitions here at Funan mall. We previously saw the Creation of HeeDong Exhibition and Edgar Plans Basketball toys. The exhibition see a harmony of print media artwork and toys which is a focal point of the display here. As you enter the exhibit, you’re immediately greeted by a sense of reverence for the legacy of Astro Boy. Hosted by BLAXK by ActionCity, the space for pop culture, art, and collectibles is meticulously curated to showcase the evolution of this beloved character.
Here, it feels like stepping into a different timeline, where each exhibit offers a glimpse into different interpretations of Astro Boy. The lighting is soft but focused, drawing your attention to the intricate details of the displays. The exhibition opened to the public on 8th of June 2024 and typically runs for a couple of months here at this BLAXK flagship store here in Funan mall.

On some history, did you know that legendary Japanese manga artist and animator Tezuka Osamu accomplished about 150,000 sheets of drawn manuscripts, completed about 700 titles, and created more than 1,000 characters in his lifetime? This achievement brought the inspiration by a variety of prints on display and on sale here.
