All

though I won't label it as a Bt Timah alternative
the place also spots an offroad trail for mountain bikers and trekkers
hurray for our west coastline being turned into a container port!
facing the sea, the place is very airy and windy
the land of signboards, carparks and decommissioned tanks!
Kent Ridge (park) itself!
before arriving at...
our journey sees us through more mini forests
thats all for that boring walk, our next stop will be Kent Ridge Park!
the canopy walk is not as popular due to it being quite out of place in the connector route
offering rather interesting but otherwise tree-obscured views
it's like one of the mangrove trail walks, only like wayyy much higher
you will see this the start of the tree top canopy walk
once upon reaching the top of the park
few of the omg! part of the trip! (while I can hear you hillwork runners go yay!)
though we could really appreciate the shade of a primary forest!
this part of the trek sees us back into some small secondary forests again
the 1st glimpse of our steel trees
few of the winding meandering paths in the area
trees+top= need for relief meaning more uphills!
and we are off to the treetop canopies!
hi I am a sign and I tell no lies, succumb to my directions!
I may be your friendly greenhouse, but am ain't green!
who knows what those evil botanists are brewing in here, killer tomatoes?
the greenhouse area
the park also snakes along side contrasting industrial areas
theres a proper rest area and snack area in the park as well
and pink bridges out of nowhere
and invisible people having wine!
there are many other nice oddities on display too...
a scarecrow with not crows to scare
they even have plants mutated into children playgrounds as well!
plants growing out of almost anything
out of place potted plants
did I mention neat?
and nice touches of neat modern architecture
but everything here is not a zany and whacky...
such as sunbathing cradles out of nowhere
besides bamboo forests...
hort park also allows you to appreciate shiny stuffs sticking from the ground
here are few of the art pieces lined along the park paths
signs pointing to more areas of interests
grass too cushy I guess...
the 1st floor houses a multi purpose function area surrounded by nice cushy grass
I just have to get this nice closeup
beyond the ridges lies the "Hort" part of Hort park, thats ... just before the million dollar lawn...
some of the few architecturally interesting areas
a nice view from the pool side restaurant area
the built up area has quite few zeny looking areas
we love our hort-ners!
