- Welcome to Singapore's Airport Terminal 3!
- a distant view of the lift well
- here we go past many of the many few security checkpoints
- so the trains travel like giant Tamiya race cars in contained tracks in a mechanical layman sense
- the usual prohibited items on flight
- more gold fish blowers after the departures
- An unobstructed dignified view of the good 'ol control tower
- mind the sawdust yet, thou...
- and more chow outlets!
- Into a whole interesting world!
- view of Terminal 3 across the roads from Terminal 2
- a walk along the meeting point lane
- much better!
- and lots of them!
- with the motors exposed at the top
- and here we are at good 'ol T2
- which is undeniably the preferred choice for most...
- the MRT station/linkway also now serves as an underpass
- as you can see, no metal rails
- linking T2 and T3 together!
- overview of the inter terminal Skytrain platform
- the skytrains run mainly on rubber wheels, with guidewheels enclosed by concrete walls
- Singaporeans: wahlau of course !YES YES YES GIMME!
- besides taking the underpass, you can also catch the T2-T3 skytrain service as well
- here we can see the trains buzzing along the rail-less concrete hollows
- for those who gets a kick at train doors, heres a shot for you
- we see draped sheets!
- Thats all Folks! See you at the Jan 9th official grand opening!
- Terminals 3 in Red, 1 in Blue and 2 in Yellow
- though it still took...
- theres a total of 36 of them in total! (note the space age light slit)
- here we have the same ICA biometric passport scanner gantries for passport and access card holders.
- There's still lots of unfinished work around, such as rolls of spare carpet lying around too!
- many of the glass lifts we see in littered all round T3
- not to mention how many Tasmanian Tigers & Dodos we can bring back on top of lowering the sea level with the power we save o
- a moment of zen
- weg ot caught up with a brief of the scaled model of T3 floorplan showing the key terminal location and facilities
- why why am I in the picture?
- with mainly... a-hem, SIA as the only occupants.
- another expensive fact of the day, is expensive really better?
- the check in booth area on level 2nd (departures)
- here we are the twilight departure wrap gate, but...
- the the dismay of aunties all around, looks like no one can do much shopping today!
- not to mention 7 floors in height and almost 63 football fields in area!
- few of the many escalators disguised as glass paneling, there 51 of them in total in T3
- for removing a bubblewrap? a fine city indeed! Tear it off! tear it off!
- which is 7 floor high and 300m long!
- when open the central crossroad here will house 40 F&B & 20 service outlets, all lined throughout the area
- Here we enter the twitlight zone from below...
- mmm spacey airlock wrapgates... I like!
