Past the lake, the trail starts to climb
On the right track!
This route makes an awesome mountain bike trail too
But I am sticking to foot for today!
The peak is actually higher than it looks
This dude keeps following me
Some of the steep uphills
Not to mention the long straights as well
But the views just gets better
With each step you take
I am in a Postcard!
That's Rydal lake below, where we initially came from
There's a surprise near the top
Not like we didn't know there's a cave up here!
The size is respectable, though not exaclty big
Shaun-cave, Cave-Shaun
Rydal cave was previously known as Loughrigg quarry
Oh little stepping stones, where do they lead to?
Strange sign outside with some serious-looking words.
Well lets find out!
Hang loose!
With the many granite deposits found at the top...
that means many other caves around the area too!
There's another baby cave not too far off
But it's quite inaccessible
With a steep drop by the cave entrance
Despite being way much smaller, it looks like a crawl in
not mention, not as deep
Our return saw a walk down a nicely forested cobble path
It was a clunky, noisy walk
Rydal lake from the path
The place is real breezy!
Trees playing dead
The lake at sunset
Enjoying the moment.. nice!
This sunset view is priceless
Chilling out by the lake bank
One with nature
You can never get tried of these views
This creepy guy is still following me!
Farewell Rydal!
Embarking on the journey back
For a chill out at the local pub!
With local steak. :P
For a well deserved meal! Cheers!
Spot the Shaun!
Along the way, seem someone lost their walls . :P
Alton towers here we are!
Time to get cracking!
The towers street and grand arcade after the entrance
