capturing the moment
Time to bid farewell to the mosque for now.
The hallways cast real nice shadows from the openings
Everything seems to line up pretty well here.
As the sun sets
You need to don slippers to visit the toilets too
Possibly one of the nicest toilets on our trip!
Even the toilets are beautifully decorated
No expense were spared in the washing area too, they look fantastic
The galleries to the washing areas
The Ablution central drinking fountain
Being the 20th century, is accessible by escalators. :P
The Ablution areas are located in the basement
namely Arab, Mughal and Moorish architecture.
The mosque actually spots a fusion of different architectures
Sigh, views you can never get tried of
And an occasional duck into the walkways to escape the burning desert sun
Taking a walk by the gardens by the main building
This one jumps too!
Fountains are like an oasis here, a rare sight indeed
Oh at least there's some water bodies here
Strange that all the water ponds are all dry
view of the exterior gardens within the Mosque compound
and is home to few nice gardens too
The mosque also spots 82 domes in total of different sizes
feast your eyes on these!
Couldn't get enough of perfection?
making our humble exit from the halls
view of the central area from the sides
between each pillar structure sits a rather neat looking stained glass flower
Few of the nicely decorated pillars within the hall
The main prayer stand
The central candelier viewed directly from below
and has space for a total of 40,000 devotees
The place is nicely carpeted
The sights just gets better with each turn!
Oh wow!
lets head into the main prayer room
Looking out through the main doors into the courtyard
View of the roof candelier
It already looks reall good in here
The holding room before the main prayer room
Looks like jeff needs some additional clothing to enter. :P
The inner walkways with the iconic gold palm pillars
Even the flooring marble patterns are all intricately laid out
mmm squeaky clean!
Stepping into the inner areas of the mosque
The towers with overlooking balconies
The front main door of the main prayer room
Ah finally a sun shade! :P
