The path soon degrades into a grassy climb

We were literally climbing into the skies!

The Ullswater lake where we had our steamer ride
Strange, it stopped raining...
only after we climbed up to a certain height. :P
But the rain didn't drench our spirits!

Strange it started raining once we went downhill
Shops around the town of Glenridding
It's a small little condusive town, with an excellent visitor's center
There are only 3 bus services from glenridding daily, this was the last one back!
The Meadowdore Cafe, in the little town of Coniston
Here we are at Coniston!
Old furness road serves the highland mountains here
This slope is about 40 degrees tops, and stretches forever!
