The New Balance Run Your Way Run Hub is pop-up space happening from now to 17 August at the Dhoby Ghaut, it celebrates the freedom to run your own way. The hub aims to serves as a tribute to runners individuality. It caters to each runner’s unique journey, resilience, and community, to inspire, empower, and connect runners of every stride. Let’s take an explore.

Fancy a coffee, network or dance?
The Visual Arts Centre pop-up shop sits tucked in the heart of the Dhoby Ghaut green open space. It is flanked by the nearby fort canning, and Macdonald house and Plaza Singapura mall. It is a small air-conditioned hut above Dhoby Ghaut MRT station used as an arts and events space. Notably, this universal space is used to host events, particularly as an arts and exhibition venue.

The hut is cosy, a small event area greets you are the entrance with some seating area and a screen used to hold events and lessons. It is tad like those spaces you can find in Apple stores, albeit much smaller.

Here you can also find a DJ booth spinning tunes, as well as a small interaction corner. Here, you to pen notes of encouragement on post cards, take and post polaroid photos on the runner’s interaction wall.

Taking center stage in the Visual Arts Centre is the pop-up store, featuring New Balance new flashy Urgent Red. The colour my opinion takes a shade of salmon-red, with bold red overlays contrasting sharply against clean white and black detailing.

Also, the bulk of the event space is occupied by store merchandise with rows of shoes from NB current running line-up lined along shelves. The shoes are already pre-prepared on shelves, allowing you to try them on immediately. Oddly, there is no treadmill here though, but the park outside might be a good testing spot too.

New SC Elite V5 in Urgent Red
Moreover, the shoe line-up are sneak peeks and try-ons of the latest shoes variants available. The new shoe on the block here be the new SuperComp Elite V5 trainer shoes.

These trainers, in the same striking Urgent Red livery (besides the regular white and black colours) are mid- distance shoes great for distances under 10km and are much lighter than thicker cushioning and support shoes like the 1080v14. It is a good compromise of weight speed for reduced cushioning.

Also, you can also see the same salmon-red colour livery on existing shoe models here too. This includes New Balance current 1080v14 fat shoe, as well as FuelCell SC Elite and FuelCell Rebel. The FuelCell SC Elite, racing shoe designed for speed and performance. The FuelCell Rebel‘s lightweight, responsive, and versatile daily trainer. Accompanying the shoes too are walls decked with running apparel, such as running tops, bottoms, caps and socks.

New Balance touts the Elite V5 as most advanced carbon-plated racing shoe. It is purpose-built with ultra-lightweight design for serious athletes chasing speed and records. Notably, this version is lighter, narrower, and has a noticeably more aggressive feel than the outgoing V4 predecessor
Go on a digital discovery quest
Unsure about your shoe fit? Also tucked by the cashier area, you can find the electronic feet scanning device to discover more about your feet, in detail. This measurement device is similar to the Suntec pop up event we checked out previously too.

The machine will analyse the shape of your feet to tell you your individual feet lengths, arch, toe width to name a few, this translates to a customised shoe size. Do note to stand evenly barefooted between both feet for more accurate readings.

Wrapping up, the pop-up event touts to touts to provide exclusive product experiences, inspiring community stories, and interactive touchpoints. This is done via interactive zones, including a digital quest to collect points and redeem exclusive NB merchandise prizes.

You scan a QR code to start activities to earn rewards such as free coffee with a coffee machine. Shoe purchases on-site warrant you freebies such as sock embroidery, and a pair of New Balance shoe laces in special edition colours.
All in all that wraps up our visiting the New Balance Run Your Way Run Hub pop-up store at Dhoby Ghaut. The temporary space combined retail with interactive experiences, allows you to test-wear new models, explore shoe technologies, and receive personalized fitting advice and a meeting point for runners, with scheduled events, talks, and group runs. When you are in town, check it out from 7 to 17 August 2025 at the Dhoby Ghaut Visual Arts Centre, 10 Penang Road at Dhoby Ghaut Green.
