Essentially, it is tad an open wide space with numerous food trucks and shacks scattered about, offering a rather vibrant and diverse food options in the heat of the night.

Furthermore, Tapak Urban Street Dining is easily accessible using KL public train transport. It is located within a 10-minute walk (about 100 meters east from the KLCC MRT station). Notably, it sits between the Ampang Park and KLCC metro stations, with the latter being a terminal station.
Also, on your way to the venue, you can catch the nearby iconic Petronas Twin Towers in the horizon all lit up and glowing in the background of the city skyline. This 88-storey architecture feat was the tallest building in the world from 1998 to 2004.

One of the highlights is the “8th Street Cafe,” known for its titanic burgers, perfect for sharing with friends. Their Mac & Cheese burger, starting at RM18, comes with choices of beef, chicken, and lamb, and is a must-try.
Another standout is the “Sizzling Diary Hot Plate” selections, featuring mee and kueh teow dishes priced at RM12. These come with e-main noodles, chicken slices, and vegetables doused in a sticky, gooey sauce.
Also, for those with a big appetite, the Giant Indomie and Titanic Burgers are sure to impress with their oversized portions. Whether you’re craving a giant bowl of Indomie noodles or a towering burger stacked with juicy meat and oozy cheese, Tapak has something for everyone.
Culinary Offerings great for sharing
For those looking to share, the pizzas and satays from “My Fren” are great options. They offer 5 chicken sticks for RM12 and 10 for RM23, with beef sticks priced similarly. Sides like mussels, calamari rings, and Lok Lok sticks add to the variety and enhance the hawker flair of the establishment.
Refreshing drinks are also plentiful at Tapak. The Jumbo Mango Smoothies and Monster Churros are particularly popular. SeTeguk is also a store here which offers a selection of coffee and ice-blended Frappuccinos.
Also, a refreshing drink on a hot humid night is best paired with Coconut shakes. You can get them from a number of stores selling the drink priced at around the RM9 price point, while sugarcane juice costs cheaper at RM7.
Desserts are not to be missed, with options like ice cream waffles and crispy churros. The “Cheese Me” store offers tortilla dishes priced between RM10 and RM12, and chili cheesy nachos for RM12. Traditional street food favourites like roti john, priced between RM10 and RM15, are also available.
Ambience and Crowds
The ambience at Tapak Urban Street Dining is lively and energetic, especially as the night progresses. The park gets more crowded from around 10 pm onwards, with live music entertaining guests until late. The place starts to thin out beyond 1 am, making it a perfect spot for late-night dining.
The outdoor setting, combined with the backdrop of the KL Twin Towers and live music, creates a chill and memorable dining experience, albeit in the humidity of the urban heat which could be overbearing for some. Also, the variety of food trucks ensures that there is tad something for everyone, from local staples like ayam goreng and indo mee to international favorites like burgers and pizzas.
