A remote yet popular area in the Lake District Day 2 of my trip in the Lake District UK. Starting with a long bus trip into the cloudy mountains of Glenridding, catching Ullswater on a traditional steam boat and scaling our first mountain of the trip- Helvellyn.
- On the bus to Glenridding!
- Yup, it's a bus aright, no doubt
- it's an hour long ride along the A592 (Kirkstone Pass)
- passing by some neat mountainous regions
- the views from the clouds
- they are spectacular!
- we are in the clouds!
- it can literally get rather cloudy here at times
- No a problem with breakfast on board!
- Here we are at our destination!
- It actually rained?
- Terrence going trigger happy
- Some of the residences around the area
- The place is surrounded by mountains!
- Survival tips on scaling the mountains, so won't just die there. :P

- A small stream from the highlands
- The peaks do look daunting!
- This must be Helvellyn water!
- Now to look for a ride of the steamy kind.
- aha found it!
- when in doubt, just head to the nearest lake!
- which this road exactly does!
- the spot is popular with caravan campers
- boats and lake, a perfect combination
- a boat club by the lake
- Now to start our steamy ride!
- The lake runs along some
- Dude where's my boat?
- Our ride, pimped for the lake.
- Full speed ahead!
- She's quite a force on the lake!
- A lake of little mercy too.
- but the views just gets better with each corner
- Is the sky pissing again?
- The upper decks
- A steamer sailing through 2 mountains apart
- On board, CJ!
